Return to Competition
We are planning on restarting the League on Sunday 18th April. The fixtures will continue from the point at which the League was paused. The season will remain ‘competitively friendly’ as it was from the outset. Fixture list will be available on the website
Action: Teams / Clubs to start allocating their umpires to games and communicating with their players, scorers and club members.
Action: If your club has not paid their second half of the season fees, these are due by 31st March.
Format Changes
We are inviting all CLUBS to re-complete their team registrations using the team registration proforma; this is an opportunity to register new players and to allow player ‘transfers’ between teams. We understand that the past few months and the impact of the pandemic may necessitate some movement.
Action: All clubs that wish to add new players to their lists / change player registration to submit these by 31st March.
We are removing the official ‘play-up’ rule as we do not want to prevent teams and clubs from participating. Players are NOT allowed to play down. We are anticipating all other Covid rules remaining in place, therefore no players are allowed to play twice on one fixture date.
Results
All results are to be submitted following the B.S.D.N.L. rules and the League tables will continue to be updated. At the end of the season there will be no promotions / relegations, however if the Committee feel that a team is incorrectly placed then individual conversations will be held.
Procedures and Protocols
We are awaiting EN Covid restart guidance, we will then communicate further. All expectations will be communicated and shared with club contacts.
We are now able to offer a car park exemption option to all B.S.D.N.L. members (players / coaches / umpires / scorers). This will be shared via a google form by 07th March.
Action: Club contacts and team captains to ensure that all members complete this by 31st March to ensure that they are placed on the car park exemption list (people may register two cars).
Summer League
B.S.D.N.L. are hoping to run a Summer league concurrently with the Sunday League through June / July. This will take place on a mid-week evening at H&E. More information to follow on this.
Safeguarding and B.S.D.N.L. Member welfare
We are incredibly excited to restart Netball (AGAIN!) However, we wish to encourage all members of our community to support each other through this process. Players will be returning after a long period of time away from the game and umpires will be in the same situation. We expect all members of B.S.D.N.L. to treat each other with respect, understanding and kindness so that we can all enjoy the remainder of the season.
Action: If your club do NOT wish to return to Netball at this time, please contact bsdnl@hotmail.co.uk
Action: If you have any questions / concerns that you wish to raise, please contact bsdnl@hotmail.co.uk
Finally, thank you for your ongoing support and we cannot wait to see you all again soon.
